After an 8 year career as a professional footballer playing in Scotland, Iceland, Turkey and at home in England, Ben dramatically changed career direction into recruitment. He was one of the first non-graduates to get placed in a large corporate firm (Resourcing Group), where he started up the Sustainability Desk from scratch and winning the accolade of best newcomer in the company. From there he quickly rose through the ranks and lead a Sustainability/Building Services Team with great success.

After moving on to other companies, Ben gathered more experience across other Building Services Desks, including Interior Design and Mechanical & Electrical Design, gaining many new clients across the construction sector and placing candidates from all over Europe into Graduate positions right up to senior Director level.

After feeling that some aspects of the corporate recruitment industry were outdated, Ben decided to take the plunge in 2020 to set up his own company (CDP). He felt he could improve the experience for both candidates and clients to make a seamless process for all concerned…a gamble that is now paying off. He believes that he is now making a huge difference by matching the right candidate for the right client, enabling them to thrive in the appropriate work environment.

Ben has an incredibly positive and enthusiastic personality and is a natural with people. The skills and experience of working in teams at the highest possible level during his football career have not been wasted and are constantly applied on a daily basis. He strives to be honest, trustworthy and clear and is proud to represent his clients and candidates of all levels.

Outside of work, Ben continues to play football and has represented England in 5-a-side and 6-a-side teams all over the world. He obviously loves to keep fit, enjoys walking his dog and listening to music.
